Company Background
Microbial
Technologies, Inc. was founded in 1989 by Dr. André Sobolewski. Drawing on his
training as a microbiologist, he sought to bring to the marketplace emerging developments
in biotechnology. More importantly, he brought relevance to academic knowledge by focussing on real environmental problems and developing practical solutions. This approach remains as true today as when the company was started.
The company's main focus is to solve new or difficult-to-treat environmental problems. 
To this task we bring a small complement of talented, knowledgeable staff members, providing a combination of solid theoretical grounding in Biology and Chemistry (a majority of our staff are PhD's) and practical experience in process development and engineering. In addition, our facilities include a well-equipped laboratory, where we develop and test solutions. As such, Microbial Technology's resources are geared towards the goal of finding cost-effective, workable solutions to environmental problems. Our success in this regard is clearly reflected in our track record, which boasts an enviable number of first-ever accomplishments.
We also make our expertise available more conventionally, as other consultants do. For example, we have responded to a need among First Nations in Canada by providing scientific and technical consulting services. Altogether, Microbial Technologies has been involved in over 100 different projects in the past twelve years. Our clients include Government, Industry (Energy, Forestry, Mining, Petrochemical), and First Nations.
The company is based in Roberts Creek, located on the beautiful Sunshine Coast of British Columbia, Canada.
